Hi. I’m Devon.

As a Commercial Director, Creative Thinker, Writer, and all-around student of comedy, I know that I’ve arrived at where I am today by taking a very untraditional path.

I started my career in commercials as an actor but soon found a much more creative outlet in writing and directing commercials. After being a finalist in the Doritos ‘Crash The SuperBowl’ contest in 2015 and getting invited to watch the Patriots upset the Seahawks from a Pepsi box (thanks Pepsi), I knew this was the world I wanted to be in.

Having zero knowledge of the Ad industry at the time but still having a strong passion to be a part of it, I came across commercial contests online which I would later spend the next couple of years focused on winning with my small production company DSF Films. All in all, we went on to win over 20 global commercial contests from sites such as Genero, Mofilm, Eyeka, Zooppa and Tongal. This was my ad school.

Since “graduating” I am now repped as a Director globally and I have used the experience to build a great understanding and foundation in this space and still want to keep learning. (My favorite part of commercials is actually coming up with the ideas/concepts)

Recently I’ve been awarded two Cannes ‘Young Director Award’ for my “Monster.com” spot as well as being nominated for the SHOTS ‘Best New Director’ 2022 in North America.

Today I’m looking to continue growing as a creative in this space by bridging the gap between production and agency by bringing my knowledge of directing, casting, pitching, and my overall understanding of commercial ideation, into the agency creative world.
